Bulk billed telehealth is a Medicare-funded online GP consultation where the doctor bills Medicare directly on your behalf. If you are eligible, you pay nothing - no upfront fee, no gap payment, no surprises.
At 13CURE, our telehealth service connects you with a fully qualified, AHPRA-registered general practitioner by phone or secure video call. You can consult from home, work, or anywhere in Australia - on weeknights, weekends, and public holidays.
Medicare extends bulk billing to specific patient groups beyond standard eligibility. If any of the following applies to you, your 13CURE telehealth consultation may be fully bulk billed.
Consultations for STI testing and treatment, contraception advice, HIV PrEP/PEP, and blood-borne virus management are eligible for bulk billing. These services are handled confidentially - no referral needed.
GPs can bulk bill for Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS), eating disorder management plans, and Mental Health Treatment Plan referrals under Medicare's Better Access initiative. Book a telehealth appointment and your doctor can set up your plan in a single consultation.
Infants aged under 12 months are exempt from the standard GP relationship requirement for bulk billing. A bulk billed telehealth appointment is available for your baby regardless of prior visits to 13CURE.
Australians experiencing homelessness are eligible for bulk billed telehealth with no fixed address required. Our doctors are available by phone - care isn't conditional on your circumstances.
Patients isolating under a COVID-19 public health order can access bulk billed telehealth from home. Our GPs can assess symptoms, provide advice, and issue documentation via phone or video.
Residents in a state or commonwealth declared natural disaster zone are eligible for bulk billed telehealth. If your community has been affected by flood, bushfire, or disaster, you can consult a GP without travelling.
Bulk billing applies during Medicare's defined after-hours periods for urgent consultations. If your concern can't wait until morning, 13CURE's after-hours telehealth is available and bulk billed for eligible patients.
Patients accessing care through an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) are eligible for bulk billed telehealth under Medicare. 13CURE is committed to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
13CURE's bulk billed telehealth service is designed specifically for after-hours care, giving you access to qualified GPs outside standard clinic hours, when regular clinics are closed.
