Bulk billed telehealth is a Medicare-funded online GP consultation where the doctor bills Medicare directly on your behalf. If you are eligible, you pay nothing - no upfront fee, no gap payment, no surprises.

Who Is Eligible for Bulk Billed Telehealth?

From November 2025, Medicare expanded eligibility for bulk billing incentives to all Medicare-eligible Australians. It means Bulk billing in 13CURE is now available for patients who meet one or more of the following criteria:

Registered Partner Practices

If your regular GP practice is registered with 13CURE as a deputising partner, your telehealth consultations after hours are fully bulk billed through Medicare.

Infants aged 12 months or under

Patients who are one year old or younger at the date of consultation are eligible for bulk billing regardless of time or day.

Patients aged 70 years or older

Senior patients aged 70 and above are eligible for bulk billed telehealth consultations across all applicable 13CURE service types.

Eligible after-hours periods

Bulk billing applies during Medicare's defined after-hours periods - see the full schedule in the Hours section below.

Referred from a registered general practice

Patients whose regular GP has deputised care to 13CURE qualify for bulk billing under the established clinical relationship requirement of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).

A valid Medicare card is required for bulk billing. Bulk billing applies to eligible patients and consultation types. Terms apply.

When Is Bulk Billed Telehealth Available?

13CURE's bulk billed telehealth service is designed specifically for after-hours care, giving you access to qualified GPs outside standard clinic hours, when regular clinics are closed.

Bulk billing through Medicare applies during the official after-hours periods, as defined by the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS):
